As the years go on, our technology becomes more advance. One of the new technology devices that we have today is known as these microchips implanted in humans to replace cash and credit cards. This chip is very convenient for the modern world. You’ll never have to worry about losing your credit card again. The chip works exactly the same as a credit card.

These microchips were created by an inventor named  Jowan Österlund. They are small as a grain of rice and get inserted into your hands between your thumb and pointer finger. To scan or pay with the microchip, all you have to do is swipe your hand. It’s kind of similar to Apple Pay.

Not a lot of people have microchips implanted into their hands. Roughly only about 4,000 people have it. And most of those people who have the microchips are from Sweden or Germany. This creation hasn’t come to America yet, however people are hoping for it to come there. The reason why it hasn’t come to the U.S yet is that people are still working on the microchip to make sure it’s safe. No one really knows if people could hack into the microchip and steal other people’s information. The people who do have it are just test subjects and were willing to volunteer. Hopefully, in the future, these microchips will be used across the world and create a big impact.
