As the weather gets colder and the leaves on the trees begin to fall off, Halloween is approaching closer and closer everyday. However, even with all the festive candy and spooky jack o’ lanterns if there is one thing that Halloween is known for it is the costumes. Your very own Luther Jackson Middle School plans to celebrate this by once again participating in its annual teacher costume contest!
LJMS’s teachers will be participating in the Halloween costume contest using the power of teamwork. Once again, they will participate not as individuals, but as teams depending on which department they belong to. For example, Luther Jackson’s gym department has held the reigning title of winner of these costume contests for the past five years. The science department came close to victory last year, but was once again ultimately defeated.
Now, you may be wondering, how can I as a student participate? And the answer is as a judge. Students actually hold the most important role in this contest, and that is deciding who wins it. To vote, simply go to Schoology and find the “All School: Jackson Middle School” folder. Then, scroll down and look for a link called something along the lines “Costume Contest Voting”, which will lead to a google form where you can vote on your favorite teacher’s Halloween costume. The link will likely be available sometime during fifth period on Thursday, October 31, which also happens to be Halloween.
Who will you be voting for this year? Will the gym teachers uphold their title as victors? Will you dress up for Halloween? Regardless of the answers to these questions, the costume contest is guaranteed to be both a fun and spooky time! Make sure to have an amazing Halloween and don’t forget to vote!
