Now that the school has administered YONDR phone pouches, our phones have to be locked during the day. While I know most of us don’t want these pouches, they are here to help us focus and thus improve our grades, or so the school claims. The YONDR pouches can’t be opened without a magnet that only some school officials have access to. These special magnets are the only thing that can unlock the pouches, and using another magnet could erase the data on your phone. Additionally, damaging or breaking your YONDR pouch will result in a $20.00 dollar fine, these things are for your own good after all, they prevent you from being on your phone all day.
When we have our YONDR pouches we have to lock it for the day and at the end of the day you can unlock it with a key. Fun fact, did you know YONDR works with educators, artists, organizations, and individuals all around the world. While most students don’t appreciate having to put their phones away for the day, in the end it can be helpful to get a break from our screens sometimes. Overall, YONDR has its pros and cons, and FCPS encourages you to try it for your own betterment.
