Earth has many beauties, such as its nature and animals. Some of the many places on earth are artificial structures, like The Great Wall of China, The Taj Mahal in India, The Colosseum in Italy, and many others! Although many of the structures people have made are beautiful, the earth has made some beauties by itself.
Pink Salt Lakes
Pink Salt lakes are, as the name implies, pink salty lakes! Almost 50 of these pink lakes are in the world, so they’re unnatural. But what is it that gives these lakes their vibrant bubblegum-like color? The bacteria and algae in these lakes have a microorganism called “halophiles” that have an attraction to places with high sodium levels. These beautiful lakes are a perfect place to take photos and swim in! Don’t drink any of the water since there’s so much sodium and microorganisms in the water that it could be dangerous.
The Northern Lights
The northern lights, or aurora borealis, are a natural phenomenon that usually occurs during equinoxes in March and September. They’re a beautiful sight, with colors ranging from green to pink, red, violet, and even white. The best places to see the northern lights are up north, like Norway or Iceland. The lights are caused by magnetic storms that are set off by things like solar flares. These dancing ribbons of light are lovely to see and take a few pictures of.
The Great Barrier Reef
Not all of the natural and beautiful arts are above sea level. For example, the Great Barrier Reef is the largest coral reef, home to many sea creatures and types of coral. The reef contains roughly 400 types of coral, 1,500 types of fish, and at least 3,000 types of mollusks; overall, there are 9,000 known species in the Great Barrier Reef, with the possibility of more we do not know. It’s home to many coral and marine life, like bottlenose dolphins, clownfish, starfish, sea urchins, and more! It’s also a great place to swim and discover the different animals it offers. Don’t wreck things.
The Rainbow Mountains
As the name implies, the rainbow mountains are beautiful mountains with a rainbow of colors! These are mostly seen and known in China and Peru, but places like Argentina, Iceland, and the U.S. also have these gorgeous mountains. Now, the hills aren’t precisely rainbow-colored, but their vibrant hues of red, turquoise, gold, purple, and other colors give it that name because of the unnatural yet unique colors! This has made it one of Peru’s largest tourist attractions for millions of years because people want to see the beautiful mountains! The mountains are formed by sandstone and siltstone discarded in China before the Himalayan Mountains were formed; the iron and other materials it was deposited with give the color!
