America is a nation with diverse foods and cultures, including candies. With that being said, there are a bunch of chocolates Americans love. Here are America’s top five favorite chocolate brands:
#1 on the list is Hershey Kisses. They’re a classic, being first manufactured in 1907. Elizabeth Anne Nield says, “It’s chocolate, it’s sweet, and it’s comfort food, and it’s inexpensive, and you can find it anywhere.” There are different kinds of Hershey Kisses. There are as many as 15 different kinds. They were invented in 1907.
#2 on the list are KitKats. KitKats are wafers covered in milk chocolate. They have different kinds of KitKats, just like Hershey Kisses. KitKats were made in 1935, formally called Rowntree’s Chocolate Crisp, as they originated in England.
#3 on the list are M&M’s. They’re little puck-shaped milk chocolates. They have different kinds like peanut butter M&Ms, peanut M&Ms, etc. M&M’s was made in 1941.
#4 on the list are Twix. Twix consists of a wafer in the middle with caramel inside and a milk chocolate coating. Twix was made in the UK in 1967 and introduced to the US in 1979.
#5 on the list is Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. Hence the name Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, which are shaped like cups. They have peanut butter on the inside and have a milk chocolate coating. Like all the other chocolates on this list, there are different variants of this chocolate. Reese’s Peanut Butter cups were made in 1928.
