Thanksgiving break was five days this year. A few years ago, you used to have an early release on Wednesday, and then you were off the rest of the week. Many parents disagreed with this and voted to have Wednesday entirely off. As you can see, Thanksgiving break has many thoughts circulating about how many days we should have off. Many people believe we should have the whole week off. Two days of school is an inconvenience to the students and the teachers. The students must get up early and attend school when the teachers will likely only have something planned. The same thing goes for the teachers. They have to show up even earlier than the students. Sometimes, they DO need to plan something for the two days, so it’s an inconvenience for them. If we had a break for the whole week, kids and teachers wouldn’t have to get up early for two days.
