Star Wars: Return of the Jedi (Part 1)
The last and final movie in the Star Wars series. The movie wrapping up all the loose ends of the Original Trilogy. The movie where Luke Skywalker finally confronts his father, Darth Vader.
This is Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.
The Plot

Luke Skywalker and his friends have made a plan to save his best friend, Han Solo, from the clutches of Jabba the Hutt (the greedy, slimy space slug gangster, one of the most powerful leaders in the criminal world of the galaxy). Leia Organa, Lando Calrissian, Chewbacca (Chewie), C-3PO, and R2-D2 work their way into the palace, Luke following after the group is discovered. There, the Jedi is soon sent tumbling into a pit with a rancor after he tries to bargain for Captain Solo with Jabba. He escapes, only to find his group and himself fed to the Great Pit of Carkoon, or the Sarlaac.

The rebels manage to escape Jabba and his group, leaving everything in fire and chaos. Here, the group splits up, Luke and R2-D2 traveling to Dagobah to return to Jedi Master Yoda, while the rest meet with the Alliance at the rendezvous point. Luke greets Yoda on his deathbed, before witnessing the Jedi Master’s last breath. Obi-Wan (Ben) Kenobi appears as a Force spirit, telling Luke the true story about Anakin Skywalker, his father, and the truth of the Skywalker twins, of Leia Organa, his sister. Astonished, Luke returns back to the Rebel Alliance, still not clear about how to proceed in this situation. One thing is however clear; he must face his father; it is his destiny.

At the meeting, the Rebellion finds out that the Emperor is aboard the second Death Star, the battle station incomplete and not functioning. Yet, the space station is protected by the shield generator down on the forest moon, Endor. The Rebellion has stolen an Imperial shuttle (Shuttle Tydirium) that will be flown down to Endor. Mon Mothma, one of the leaders of the Rebellion orders General Han Solo and his team to attack the shield generator with some of the Rebel troops, while Lando Calrissian and his space fighters will attack the Death Star II as soon as Han and his team have the shield down. Darth Vader, who has sensed his son while Shuttle Tydirium was passing against the Death Star II and an Imperial Star Destroyer, immediately seeks his master, Emperor Palpatine for orders, as he wishes to confront him.

Luke, Leia, Han, Chewbacca, C-3PO, R2-D2, and the Rebel troops arrive on Endor undetected by the Imperials, before stopping in front of two Imperial scouts (which Han messes up everything by alerting them of their presence). Luke and Leia manage to get onto one of the speeder bikes, and thus begins one of the most famous scenes in this movie; the speeder bike chase. The twins manage to destroy all the scouts but get split up in the process. Leia is knocked unconscious, Luke joins up with the rest of the team and searches for the missing princess.

Even though the group is split up, they all manage to find the Ewoks; small, furry creatures (similar to a teddy bear) living above the trees on this forest moon. Leia is found by Wicket W. Warrick before Wicket takes her to Bright Tree Village, the home where his tribe lives. The others were originally mistaken as prey, being captured in a net, before C-3PO is mistaken as a golden god to the creatures. The rest are all taken as prey to the village, with Han almost roasted over the fire pit. Luke manages to stop the Ewoks from turning them into a banquet for C-3PO with a little bit of a Jedi trick.
After the feasting and story-telling, Leia is told the truth about her family, Luke being her brother and Darth Vader being her father. The two argue, before Leia relents, and Luke goes to face his father who has been waiting for him on the forest moon. The young Jedi tries to turn his father away from the dark side, but fails, Darth Vader bringing his son to the Emperor as instructed.

As the Battle of Endor engages on the forest moon, the space battle above the planet, Luke is turned to the dark side by the Emperor but manages to turn himself and his father back to the light side. His father sacrifices himself for Luke, before killing the Emperor. Father and son are reunited for the last time, as the rebels are close to blowing up the battle station. After Lando Calrissian and Nien Nub destroy the Death Star II, the whole galaxy rejoices. As Luke goes off to join the rest of his friends, his father’s funeral pyre burns bright and high into the night, and the galaxy is finally free from the rule of the Empire.
