Vietnamese literature is very diverse and rich in genre and content. It was born a long time ago.They have two main genres, which are folk literature and written literature. Folk literature has existed since ancient times, is the origin and beginning of written literature known and used in oral form. There are a total of 12 specific genres: epics, legends, myths, fairy tales, fables, jokes, proverbs, riddles, folk songs, verses, poems, cheo. Each genre has its own characteristics. Different in presentation, expression, content, characters, and meaning.Although different, Vietnamese literary genres are formed from the life, society, beliefs and people of ancient times. Literature is the voice of the author, it uses language to express emotions, imagination and life experiences.
