A lot of you guys have seen people with a brownish-red design on people’s hands, especially after Eid, or maybe you even got the design done on your hand. Henna is a reddish die prepared from henna trees. The earliest use of it is traced to ancient Egypt. The ancient Egyptians used henna to stain mummies and mummy wrappings. Slowly, different cultures worldwide, such as Arab, Amazigh, and Desi, started using it for cosmetic and health reasons. The most famous way to use it is to draw designs on your hand, and it acts as a temporary tattoo. It’s also used to dye your hair temporally, and all of this is healthy for your skin and does not damage it. A lot of the time, Muslims get henna done on their hands for Eid or a wedding. Now that you understand what henna is go out there and find some henna and draw some designs on your hand!
