It’s the start of a new year and many predictions have already been made about how this year might look like. There are all kinds of predictions about this years presidential election, new trends, generation alpha, and how our world will change. There are people who say this year will be a year to remember because it’s a leap year, but others are saying this year will be worse because of climate change and all the wars that have been going on in different countries. A lot of people have very high hopes for 2024 and even started calling 2024 “a year of new opportunities”. Of course some things are just too far away for people to predict but people sure are excited for this new year. So let’s focus on some of the most popular predictions people have for 2024.
#1– Artificial intelligence will advance greatly. Elon Musk has already started creating an AI robot for Tesla named “Optimus Robot”. He says this new technology that Tesla is introducing will be able to acquire more knowledge than an average human being can as the years go by. Optimus Robot is able to do everyday human tasks like boiling eggs, and even doing some exercises like squats. Musk’s goal is to try and create a robot that will help with things maybe a human can’t do, and thinks this robot will be in everyone’s houses by 2040. This robot will probably cost a whopping $20,000 when it first releases, but the price might go down as AI becomes more common everywhere.
#2- This year will get even warmer. With global warming getting worse as we know it, scientists are predicting that we will get even warmer summers this year, and some days in tropical places will get extremely hot. Summer 2024 is most likely going to be a little warmer than summer 2023, but the heat will definitely start changing greatly 10 years from now. 2023 is also the hottest recorded year, so 2024 being even hotter than last year is not the best thing ever. The oceans are also starting to get warmer especially on the shore of beaches, and the top of the water. But hey, at least we still have the pool!
#3- Gen Alpha will start taking over pretty soon. Now that people born in generation alpha are starting to get older, people think that pretty soon they will start to be the ones who start all the “cool” and “funny” trends. The oldest people that are apart of gen alpha are currently 10 years old so in a few years they’ll officially be teenagers in middle school. Some people think that gen z’s relationship with millennials is going to be the same with gen alpha and gen z. There are a lot of people who are apart of gen z who call millennials old trends “cringy” and “unfunny” so pretty soon that could be gen alpha mocking our trends we used to find funny. There is still some more time before gen alpha starts taking control over social media but it will most likely happen eventually.
