Which of the 4 main subjects is the most important?

No matter who the person is, everyone always needs to learn about the 4 main school subjects. English, history, science, and math. These subjects are required for every student to learn in order to go to the next grade and have a successful future. Of course, all these subjects are important, but some people question if other subjects are more important than others. Let’s go over why these subjects are so important and then you can share your opinion in the poll down below.

MATH:

You learn all kinds of things in math whether it’s linear equations or range and domain. Math comes in very handy when you need to see the total price of something you’re buying or if you’re looking for a good job. Even though math is pretty important, some people argue that some things we learn in math are useless for the future. People have said that some of the topics we’ve learned about in our math class are never going to be used for normal everyday tasks. What do you think?

ENGLISH:

English is important to help kids know how to read and write, which you are going to use everyday. You need to know how to analyze what you read, but also understand what you’re reading if you’re planning on going to college or getting a good job. Grammar is taught in English which helps our writing skills, as well as punctuation, capitalization, etc. A lot of people think English is the most important subject, but not everyone. Some people argue that English has stopped focusing on writing and reading skills, but has been turning to topics that are not useful for the future.

HISTORY:

History focuses on learning about our past all around the world. We learn about wars, political issues, racial inequality, and geography all throughout our history classes in school. It’s important to know the background of what helped us shape our country and realize how much the world has changed in a matter of decades. It’s definitely a very interesting subject to learn about, but people think that history is one of the most useless subjects you learn in school. They say learning about our states is useful for the future, but the wars we learn about are not.

SCIENCE:

Science is a subject that teachers students all aspects of life and our world around us. We learn about how our planet works, how living factors work, and things we as people can do better to save our planet. Science involves topics like adaptations, chemical elements, and all kinds of important factors we need to live. It can be a very important subject when it comes to realizing how Earth really works and how we are impacting it. But of course there are some students that don’t like science and believe that it is not as important as the other 3 subjects. Do you agree?
