When you were younger, you might’ve been lucky enough to have a beloved class pet. However, those beloved pets were left behind in elementary school. But, why don’t we have any class pets for middle schoolers? Unfortunately, the teachers have to pay for everything. However, some teachers could get a grant, but the process to get a grant is a little hard. Most of the time the school will be happy to help with any class pets. Beneficially, many programs like Pets in the Classroom talk about how having class pets will benefit the classroom, such as improving attendance and showing children responsibility. Both are important lessons since many kids in middle school or above have the bad habit of missing school/skipping. Possibly, reinstating class pets could improve school attendance and performance. Plus, it may make the class more enjoyable for students, making them more focused in class.
