We know that the fall play here at Luther Jackson (Gravestone Manor) has just been wrapped up. Lots of hard work was put into the show, and it was a success! Ms. Stacey, the actors, the backstage crew, fellow LJ students, and family contributed so much to ensure the shows went perfectly. There were four performances in total, and each was very well done. Many people came to see Gravestone Manor and everyone involved in the play was so grateful. But because the fall play is now done, it’s time to start talking about the spring musical!
If you are unaware, Ms. Stacey just announced the spring musical after the last show of Gravestone Manor. The cast and crew were wondering what the spring musical would be and even brought up the thought of doing a musical based on Mean Girls. But Ms. Stacey surprised everyone when she announced the musical would not be Mean Girls. Instead, the musical she chose was… Matilda!
Everyone was eager to find out what Ms. Stacey chose for the musical. The suspense was worth it because the cast and crew went wild when the musical was announced. Everyone will have a blast when rehearsing all the essentials to make this play go perfectly, and it is highly encouraged that you join the backstage crew or audition for a role. It is still unknown when auditions will be, but the most reasonable guess is that it will be somewhere towards the middle or end of winter/the beginning of spring. This allows much time to consider whether you want to become part of the magic.
