About Homework
Homework is a big part of school. Homework has been around for as long as school has. Roberto Nevilis is the man who invented homework. Almost 50% of teachers assign homework 4-5 days per week, while less than 10% of teachers claimed that they had never assigned homework.
Downsides of Homework
Us as students at FCPS spend about seven and a half hours in school while some students have to spend a longer time doing homework. In middle school homework is estimated to take up to 90 minutes and it only gets worse in 
high school.
Homework doesn’t help with the subjects it’s on. The only thing homework does is teach students about time management. A lot of kids spend their only two days off (The weekend) doing homework. Homework is unnecessary and it should only be assigned to students that need help and practice on the subjects and not the whole class. 70% of students do not like homework, they think its a waste of time.
Many students feel worried and trapped if they’re assigned too much homework. Regardless of how much is assigned, some feel like they have to get it done right away even when its not due yet. They end up rushing then don’t do well.
