The fall play is coming up soon, and it’s a great opportunity to get involved at Luther Jackson. Participating in the play can help you meet and connect with new people. You could also learn a lot of interesting skills, such as speaking in front of an audience, and using facial expressions and body language to help tell a story. These skills could be useful in lots of different ways. And if you enjoy the play, you might decide to continue with theater in high school and beyond.
So, how do you participate in the fall play? Well, you might have seen the flyers around the school, but in case you haven’t, here’s all the information you need to know.
The play this year is “Gravestone Manor,” a hilarious and spooky Halloween- themed play. If you want to learn more about it, I recommend checking out the links below this article.
Everyone is highly encouraged to participate in the play, even if you have no experience. Ms. Stacey has said many times that you do not have to be in the theater class to participate.
There is an interest meeting after school on September 13th in the MPR. The A session is for actors and the B session is for those working backstage, but you can attend both sessions of the meeting if you want to. You can sign up to attend the meeting on Schoology.
Auditions for actors are on September 20th and 21st. There is also a backstage meeting on September 28th.
If you have any questions or can’t make it to the interest meeting, you can see Ms. Stacey in room 419 or email her at [email protected]. Also make sure to join the LJMS Theatre group on Schoology so you’re aware of any updates.(You can also find all this information on the Luther Jackson website, which is linked below.)
That’s everything you need to know for right now. Everyone is looking forward to this year’s fall play, and it’s going to be amazing.
