We’ve all heard of them – impossible burgers.

Meatless burgers are burger patties made of plants or plant-based ingredients, so they are completely vegetarian. The big question is, are they really healthier than beef burgers?

People around the globe have mixed answers. Animal activists obviously support these products. Manufacturers aren’t harming or killing animals in the process. However, the scientific community says otherwise.

Many of us consume a lot of meat. If you decide to give up meat and eat plant-based burgers, you’re mostly consuming a food additive called pea protein isolate. It’s not problematic if consumed occasionally, but eating too much of it could cause long-term health problems and have a negative effect on your body.

Overall, if you’re looking to make the switch from omnivore to herbivore, plant-based burgers are a good place to start. Just remember to consume them in moderation, like anything else.
