The Beatles, such an amazing band that still to this day, live on with their outstanding music. But how were the Beatles formed?

It all began in 1957 when two music loving teenagers, sixteen year old John Lennon was preforming when he was introduced to a classmate, fifteen year old Paul McCartney. Both of them joined a band called “The Quarrymen”, McCartney preformed his first gig in October that year but wasn’t able to master the guitar, that’s when the Quarrymen found George Harrison and became the lead guitarist. Throughout 1958 and 1959 the Quarrymen went on many gigs and Paul, Lennon, and George were starting to form the Beatles.

The Band Got Their Name Combining Two Words.

The band were going on more and more gigs when Lennon, Paul, and George decided to start a new band which formed the words “beetles” and “beat”, created what we now know as “The Beatles”. Unfortunately, they needed someone to play the drums when they found Pete Best, with all four of them together playing many more people found out and the Beatles became more and more popular.

In 1962, Brian Epstein first saw the group play and was so amazed that he signed a contract with them. The band made four songs that year, Brian heard all the songs and believed that Pete was not a good enough drummer for the band and replaced him with Ringo Starr. Brian saw the potential for the band and decided and wanted them to preform all around the world, that’s when Brian found the Ed Sullivan show and the Beatles preformed and became famous.
