Trick-Or-Treating During Covid 19
Halloween is upon us, only a month away. We need to make sure we are taking the correct safety precautions during this pandemic. The CDC has published a low to high risk activities chart. High risk activities include; attending large gatherings indoor with singings and chanting’s, going to crowded events, using drugs and/or alcohol, and having large dinner parties where people come from varying locations. It is important to not engage and participate in any of the high risk activities. If you happen to participate in any of them, make sure to follow to CDC guidelines and get a test done. While trick-or-treating make sure to wear a proper mask (no costume masks!), stay 6ft apart, and use plenty of hand sanitizer.
There are many alternatives you can do while having fun. You can host or join virtual celebrations, have in-door scavenger hunts, and have a movie night with people you live with. Halloween is all about having fun, you just have to be creative in the way you do it. You must always make sure you are safe, and not endangering anyone else. The classic holiday can still be safe and enjoyable, you just have to have a good alternative!
