Ancient Candy From China

Ancient Candy From China

By: Madeline Seminaro, Journalist

This is a video about how to make dragon’s beard candy. Here she filled it with ground peanuts. Some of the popular flavors are chocolate, almonds and peanuts.

This candy originated from china but spread and is now all over East Asia. Now you may be wondering, why this candy? Well, you, make this candy by folding the mixture in half over and over until you get about 16,000 strings! Some people even say it is thinner than cotton candy. No, this is not just another word for cotton candy, Dragon’s Beard is made differently, it’s handmade. I have also tried this at home while in quarantine and it is not easy to make, but definitely a great experience. Just clean up your mess, don’t forget to have fun and make it yours.
