#SUNBIRD (day 7)

a photograph of a birdhouse

By: Lichelle Boukens

Today, I took the rectangle and square wood pieces. I counted the wood to make sure we had enough pieces. Next, I made the diagonal cuts to give the wood a more birdhouse shape.

Since there wasn’t a piece of wood perfect to use as the base, I thought I could cut two medium sized pieces and stick them together. In the end, that would not have been a stable base, so I took one of the super large pieces of wood and used a hand saw. I cut a 19 1/2 x 19 1/2 piece of wood with extra space on the side in case.

Another thing I did today is I organized all the pieces of wood so that they matched up to make into houses eventually.
