Time Travel

A blue blackish tunnel with numbers and the hands of a clock in it, representing time travel.

Have you ever wondered what you will look like when you’re a grandma or grandpa, what job you’ll have in the future, and how you will die in the future? Or, have you wondered what actually happened in history, or do you question the past? Maybe the Pyramid was built in a completely different way than what we think, or maybe what the stone structures on Easter Island actually are something else? However, have you ever considered it may actually be possible to go back to the past or see the future?

Although some scientists believe time travel isn’t possible, some do. One theory is to faster than the speed of light. According to space.com, that would mean going faster than 186,282 miles per second, or 299,792 kilometers. Another theory is to rotate around a black hole really fast. A theory even mentions time machines! There are many more theories besides this one. I don’t know if time travel is possible. What do you think?

This relates to engineering because in order to actually pull off time travel, you’d need to use the engineering process to somehow make a mechanism to time travel. For example, planning to go faster than the speed of light needs planning, a budget, materials, etc.
