How Nintendo lost to off brand NES games

During the time of the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, an add on to the Nintendo Entertainment System was made by Camerica which was called the Aladdin Deck Enhancer. Its purpose was to let game developers make NES games without worrying the limited space that was on one cartage. The user will attach a small add on into the game itself and put it in the NES to play.

Nintendo went and try to sue the Aladdin Deck Enhancer but lost and so Nintendo had to appeal to the court of appeals. Camerica soon filed into bankruptcy and the Aladdin Deck Enhancer was not released. People that have the Aladdin Deck Enhancer got theirs from a store that bought all of Camerica’s stock items so it came with the Aladdin Deck Enhancer and all its games. Even if the Aladdin Deck Enhancer was released it would not sell well due to the NES being near dead and the SNES taking over its spot.
