The new Magista 2 shoe has been launched just in time for the Rio Olympics. The cleat gets its shape from 3D printing, with ridges innovated by “touch and grip,” according to Nike’s soccer design director, Nate Van Hook. The ridges are molded and designed to improve grip when wet. It took a lot of tweaks to embroider the peaks perfectly.
