Boeing 737 Disaster

Boeing 737 Disaster

By: Zach Conroy

After two plane crashes within a year due to the same problem, the
FAA denied the Boeing 737 Max 8 flight United States. The question is, what exactly caused these fatal crashes, resulting in almost 350 deaths?

It turns out that a faulty sensor in the 737 Max 8 line caused the planes’ software system to think it was stalling in midair. Thus, the computers forced the plane into a nosedive, crashing it.

This relates to engineering because the planes crashed due to a fault in the engineering of the aircraft and its software.
