The Chevrolet C8 Corvette

New Chevrolet C8 Corvettes have been spied during testing. The C8 will probably be a 2020 model. This Corvette is a mid-engined supercar. While many details are missing, GM is speculated to have created a new twin-turbo V8 engine for some version of the car. The C8’s production has been delayed for unknown reasons. A leaked rumor suggests, that the engine of the top tier Corvette that will potentially create 1000 horsepower has been creating issues and warping the car’s aluminum frame enough to crack the rear trunk glass. The entry-level car will supposedly create 500 horsepower and start at 60 to 70k. Since Chevrolet didn’t reveal the car at the 2019 Detroit Auto Show, many details are unknown, such as the 0-60 time, engine options, torque, and transmission. Since this car will have a different layout from the Corvette’s on the market today, it is shaped differently and also will look drastically different with only the badging and lights looking similar to its predecessor.

GM has almost engineered a completely new car with a new engine, and has had to undergo a lot of testing and will have to keep modifying it until it works.
