How to properly update a V56 driver board.

By: Alex Lopez

Before we can use the panel, we need to update the firmware of the board. This makes it able to run specific resolutions (In our case, 1366 x 768) of LCD screens. We do this by taking a series of files I found on the internet, filtered it by resolution, and then putting it into a flash drive (The green smiling guy in the pictures below). We then plug the flash drive into the V56 controller board using the USB port. We plugged the 7-Key board and the 12V 4A adaptor into the board.

When we power it up, the light attached to the 7-key board turns red. Eventually, it starts to flash red and blue.

Eventually, it will turn solid blue. This means that the update has finished. You can unplug the power and the USB drive.
