Inventors and engineers use their creativity to make new products. Some of these inventions are not created for public use or are being created in competition with another company. These inventors can obtain a patent for their product in order to prevent someone else from copying their product and to keep their ideas safe.

This story related engineering to the world because any engineer can request a patent for their product. Patents can be used by any inventor globally to insure the security of their invention. Many inventors use patents to keep their market limited in suppliers to increase their number of customers. Overall, a patent is an engineer’s best friend.

This story explains one of the most used products in the world. Most of the things people use have either a patent or some other form of protection on it to prevent knockoffs. Any engineer can use a patent on their inventions and can apply for an array of products.
