So, for my project in which I recycle a laptop monitor, I had to take apart a laptop. I also had to take out the keyboard, CD drive, and hard drive. The link for the teardown is below, but I’ll sum it up here. First, take out the battery and then unscrew the stuff for the CD drive, and for the keyboard. Next, remove the keyboard. You might want to use something good at prying stuff like a flathead screwdriver. Disconnect the wires attached to the keyboard. Now, unscrew everything on the back, and some on the front. Remove the rubber covers, as there are screws underneath. Pry open the bottom of the laptop. Unscrew the hard drive.

The screen is easy, just pry it off. This relates to engineering, as you get to see how these laptops were engineered, and figure out how they were put together.
